UPDATED
Teasing a new trailer, to be released tomorrow (September 18), Warner Bros. have released a first-look poster at the new Tomb Raider film, starring Alicia Vikander.
A Tomb Raider reboot had been in the rumour mill since 2011 when Vikander was cast in the role of Lara Croft last April. Now we can officially get a sense of what’s to come as Warner Bros. release a brand new poster – with a trailer due tomorrow!
The film, directed by Norwegian blockbuster fresher Roar Uthaug, is due out on March 16 next year and will mark the second time that Lara Croft has made the jump from video game to feature film.
Angelina Jolie was the star of 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its 2003 sequel The Cradle of Life yet neither film was met with acclaim or dramatic box office success.
Joining Vikander in the reboot are Walton Goggins, Daniel We and Dominic West.
Tomb Raider is based loosely on 2013s reboot of the game franchise and will see Lara hunt for her father.
