WATCH: BAFTA unveil inspirational a-list trailer

Daniel Kaluuya, Eddie Redmayne and Kate Winslet are among the stars to be heard discussing their success stories in the rousing new trailer for this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards.

With just over two weeks until the annual awards ceremony, BAFTA have released ‘Believe You Will’, a seventy-nine second clip, featuring the voices of some of British film’s hottest names.

Alongside Kaluuya, Redmayne and Winslet, Naomie Harris, Sally Potter and Will Poulter can all be heard discussing their first steps into the industry. Each tells of ups and downs but inspire with stories of acceptance.

The film is to inspire a new generation of talent to believe they too could succeed in film.

Kaluuya and Poulter are both former winners of BAFTA’s Rising Star Award, whilst Harris and Redmayne were nominated for the prize in 2007 and 2012 respectively. This year, the Rising Star Award has a new raft of promising contenders – read all about them here.

Yorgos Lanthimos film The Favourite leads this year’s BAFTA pack, with twelve nominations to its name. Not so far behind, A Star Is BornRoma, First Man and Bohemian Rhapsody have seven apiece.

Number 9 Films – the independent production company behind hits such as Carol and Colette – have been announced as 2019’s Outstanding Contribution Award winners, whilst the BAFTA Fellowship will go to Raging Bull editor Thelma Schoonmaker.

The EE British Academy Film Awards will take place on Sunday 10th February at The Royal Albert Hall, and is to be broadcast on BBC One from 9pm.
